3rd friday artwalk & drive: historic bath
Artists in Maine’s Cool Little City welcome visitors to studios, receptions and exhibits, May – October. Discover home studios and galleries a few minutes’ drive from downtown Bath and explore downtown art spaces on foot in this vibrant community on the Kennebec River. Live music and great company await. New openings are held each month. An information table and group art show are found at Bath City Hall. More than two dozen artists participate. Held on third Fridays, May – October.

Bath is an art town. It is also known as the City of Ships. Bath Iron Works dominates the Kennebec River shore, 19th century captain’s homes grace Washington Street, and Maine Maritime Museum tells Bath’s story, as well as many others, through its exhibits and tours. Bath is a designated National Trust for Historic Preservation Distinctive Destination. Visit nearby Reid State Park or Popham Beach State Park. See also Chocolate Church Arts Center, Main Street Bath, and Southern Midcoast Chamber of Commerce. Bath is in the “Mid-Coast” region.
