artwalk maine

a statewide collaboration to promote artists and communities

ArtWalk Maine is a statewide promotional project increase visibility of all Maine ArtWalks and the artists, businesses & communities that they represent. Each year more than 80 ArtWalks are held in 16 communities across the state.

The project begins with a simple website, rack card and publicity campaign designed to reach visitors and Maine resident audiences.

ArtWalk Maine’s goals are to:

• increase participation in ArtWalks
• enhance the economic benefit to participating artists and businesses
• contribute to the vibrancy of the communities in which they take place
• enhance Maine’s reputation as an arts-rich destination.

ArtWalk Maine is a project of Five Rivers Arts Alliance, made possible by cooperation and in-kind support of participating ArtWalk artists and organizations.  ArtWalk Maine is funded in part by grants from The Maine Community Foundation, the Quimby Family Foundation, Maine Office of Tourism and the Maine Arts Commission, an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.
